Croissants in Paris

On a recent trip to Paris, I took a class to learn to make croissants from a Parisian chef.  Wow!  I don’t know what else to say. It was amazing and I can’t wait to go back and take another class. I never realized that there are so many ways to make them. You can make them plain and they are wonderful, or you can add fruit ( we added raisins in one, and apples in another), jelly, and my favorite, chocolate!!!!

Now I have to try making them without the chef looking over my shoulder. Wish me luck!  And stay tuned for the results.

A Long Weekend in Paris

I’m going to Paris again!  Yes again!!!  I’m not sure what it is, but I feel a connection to France. Maybe it’s my heritage, maybe it’s just something beautiful and unknown. Either way, I’m in love with France. I love Paris, and I love the country side. I love the history. When I retire in 3 years and a month (but who’s counting), I want to walk from Le Puy to St Jean Pied de Port, over the Pyrenees and into Spain. Call me crazy, but that’s my plan.

For now, I’m headed to Paris to stroll through the city and learn how to make Croissants.

Feel free to follow along. I’m going to my happy place!!!! 😍

Not All Who Wander are Lost

I love to see new places and meet new people.   I get that from my Dad.   Next weekend, I’m heading to Paris for the 3rd time. I’m not sure if it’s my heritage, or the history. There is something that draws me in and won’t let go; and I don’t want it to.  I can walk around the city for hours with no destination in mind. I am not a city girl either, I feel more comfortable in the White Mountain National Forest than I do in a city. Except for Paris. I feel at home there.
Follow along while I stroll the city and learn how to make Croissants.
